4 quarters make a whole. When you put four equal quarters together, you get the complete whole object.
If 3 is half of a number, what is the whole number?
Answer
The whole number is 6. If 3 is half, then the whole is 3 × 2 = 6. We say 6 is double of 3.
What is double of 4?
Answer
Double of 4 is 8. When you double a number, you multiply it by 2. So 4 × 2 = 8.
