  • Multiplying by 100 means adding two zeros to the right
  • 2 × 100 = 200 (2 hundreds), 11 × 100 = 1100 (11 hundreds)
  • 27 × 100 = 2700, breaking it as 20 hundreds + 7 hundreds = 2000 + 700
