Fractional Units and Equal Shares
- A fraction represents equal parts of a whole unit
- When one unit is divided into several equal parts, each part is called a fractional unit
- Fractional units are also called 'unit fractions' (like 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, etc.)
Parts of a Whole and Measuring with Fractions
