Basic Terms and Definitions
- A line segment has two endpoints, a ray has one endpoint, and a line extends infinitely in both directions
- Collinear points lie on the same line; non-collinear points do not
- An angle is formed when two rays originate from the same endpoint
Linear Pair Axiom
- When a ray stands on a line, it forms two adjacent angles
- The sum of these two adjacent angles is always 180°
- If two adjacent angles sum to 180°, their non-common arms form a straight line
