Basic Concepts and Variables
- Statistics comes from Latin word 'Status' meaning political state
- Used in singular sense: refers to the subject as a branch of knowledge
- Used in plural sense: refers to numerical data collected systematically
Frequency and Frequency Distribution
- Frequency shows how many times a particular value appears in data
- Tally marks are used to count frequencies systematically
