Frequently Asked Questions

How to calculate age for exam eligibility in India?

Most Indian entrance exams specify a cutoff date for age eligibility. Enter your date of birth and the exam's cutoff date to check if you meet the age requirement. For example, NEET 2026 requires candidates to be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2026.

There is no upper age limit for JEE Main. Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent in 2024 or 2025, or be appearing in 2026. The exam is typically open to students born on or after a specific date set by NTA.

For NEET-UG, candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the year of admission. There is currently no upper age limit following the Supreme Court ruling.

For NDA, candidates must be between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age on the first day of the month in which the course is due to commence. Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible.

Age is calculated from your exact date of birth (day, month, year) to the reference date. It accounts for the exact number of completed years, months, and days.
