What to Focus On

  • Every natural number is a whole number, integer, and rational number
  • Every whole number is an integer and rational number
  • Every integer is a rational number

  • Standard form has positive denominator and no common factors
  • For operations with different denominators, find LCM or cross-multiply

  • Bar notation shows repeating digits: 0.3̄ means 0.333...
  • Every rational number is either terminating or repeating decimal

All terminating decimals are rational, but non-terminating decimals are irrational
